Dr. Nisreen Ameen is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Digital Marketing at Royal Holloway, University of London, and Director of the Digital Organisation and Society (DOS) research centre. She currently serves as Ambassador for Research at the Institute of Directors and Co-Chair of the e-Business and Information Systems Management SIG at the British Academy of Management. Dr. Ameen is also an Associate Editor for Information Technology and People and has served as Guest Editor for special issues in top-ranked journals, including Tourism Management, Information Systems Frontiers, Psychology and Marketing, Industrial Marketing Management, and Journal of Business Research.
Dr. Ameen’s research focuses on two main themes: consumer interactions with new-age technologies and how organisations can use these technologies to enhance experiences, services, and products. Her work has been published in leading journals such as Journal of Travel Research, British Journal of Management, Psychology and Marketing, Information Technology and People, Information Systems Frontiers, and Internet Research. With a successful track record of leading funded projects in collaboration with international companies and policymakers, including those funded by Innovate UK and GCRF, her research has made a tangible impact in both academia and industry.
Dr. Ameen’s insights have been featured in world-leading media outlets, including CNN, the World Bank, The Conversation, New Statesman, and Fast Company. Recognised for her contributions, she has received numerous awards, including Best Paper accolades and research commendations.
